The BCFA Youth League becomes an FA Charter Standard League

In only its second season the BCFA Youth League has met all the criteria to become an FA Charter Standard League. This is an outstanding achievement as the per cent of CS Clubs needed to meet the criteria has very recently been raised from 60% to 80% for new leagues looking to attain the kitemark. It is testimony to the quality of Clubs in this League and the hard work of all their volunteers that we can meet this target.

The Charter Standard status offers Leagues a process to raise standards and a practical means to deliver initiatives in line with the needs of member Clubs. The base criteria ensures that clubs are consistent in delivering Respect, have a minimum Level 1 qualifies coach with every team, and have a qualified first aider. For this League it is a strong foundation on which we can build positive change in line with our ethos implemented through the League Development plan.
